Bright and Beautiful

When I'm down these beautifully bright fields do wonders for cheering me up. I thought most all around here were drying up. Then I seen this one.
It's been a long time since I've posted to any blogs, or been on flickr. I'm not sure that I will keep this one. I'd like to just change the title of my mixed media one.
Life gets so crazy, and it seems no way to keep up with it all.

Spiders and fuzzies

I wish I could think more clearly. All the noise tends to make things a bit fuzzy, and there has been a ton of noise around here!
Two weeks ago we went camping. I was bit by some sort of spider, (on my butt =P) and it became infected. It started out the size of a pencil tip and grew to the size of half my backside. I'd rather not give that measurement-not small. It continued to get larger for the first few days of antibiotics. The next few days it stayed the same. But now, (no pun intended), it is getting better. Oh, happy day. =)

Book Reviews

Last friday three of my kids and I went to Newton after the rock, gem, and mineral show. We went to this used book store. It is a favorite of the older kids and I. If you ever make it to Newton I would suggest it.

Actually, I didn't even get to go into the cute little quilt shop, but I wanted to. That is quite o.k. I figured it saved me from buying anything on sale that I thought I needed at the time.

New blog

My original blog hasn't been kept up well, and here I start another. This one is should be the more personal of the two. I will try to keep 'Melicia's Fiber Art and Mixed Media' http://meliciasfiberartandmixedmedia.blogspot.com/
related more to art; though art is personal. We'll see if it works. The two are very innertwined.
Tulips are a favorite flower of mine. These were on a corner in north McPherson.
